Ventilate in a Saeco coffee machine: what to do if this message appears on the display

Coffee machine Saeco SUP 021YDR: message -Ventilate.

He began to get rid of it with very frequent washing, and then just in time for the last one, he stopped the work and scalding water started flowing. The water supply fitting from the boiler to the pump was not sealed. After startup, the device stopped working and issued Ventilate. So I understand there is no water or air in the system. What sensor is keeping this under control?

Kahn's Theorem: If all else fails, finally read the abstract.

If the coffee maker displays the VENTILATE message, it means there is an air lock in the system.

VENTILATE >> You need to run water through the water/steam tap until this sign disappears. To do this, turn the round valve counterclockwise (for most coffee machines). On coffee machines equipped with a steam system, you first need to press the button with the “drop” icon (to switch the coffee machine to water supply mode), then turn the valve to start the water.

VENTILATE - air entering the system. What to do?: Take out the water container, hold it for a few seconds and stick it back. If the inscription does not disappear, then fill a full tray of water. Place the glass under the duralumin hot water supply tube. Open the tap. Fill a full glass of water until the sign disappears.

What to do when the VENTILATE message appears? This inscription indicates that you need to make small pebbles of the system. Fill a container full of water and open the hot water tap. Wait until the stream of water flows moderately, after which the inscription will disappear.

This is detailed! Thanks, I'll try it tomorrow.

. I uploaded two annotations: in German and Italian. not a bit easier

Is very frequent washing curable?

Hello everyone. In principle, it started working practically in this way once, but the bucket of water was probably driven away if it was small, and now it is no longer clear how the same picture is just a side view! in 2 rows of inscriptions (the upper inscription requires cleaning, the lower one requires air in the system (decalcify ventilate)) and I did the cleaning and running of water, but nothing helps (previously, by the way, it was the same) maybe someone found a solution to the problem in some other option? (well, I already went for repairs once, maybe something was loose somewhere, or somewhere I once came across a message about some kind of magnetic valve and that there was some kind of problem with it) is there a candidate for a trip to the service center?

Educational program on how to descale (Decalcify message) in a Saerco Royal Professional coffee machine.

Yesterday I spent a lot of time until I managed to understand what was meant in the instruction manual for Russian users that came with this coffee machine.

Since, I think, this information will be useful to many, if not many, owners of Saeco coffee machines, it was decided to write a small educational program (abbreviated educational program: elimination of illiteracy) on how to specifically descale Saeco Royal Professional. I’ll immediately note that judging by the simplicity of the software of this coffee machine, most likely this sequence will be suitable for their other machines.

To begin with, if your Saeco coffee machine displays the Decalcify message on its monitor, which means “clean the scale,” then it is recommended to perform the Descaling function. I had such a message shown here and there on the 850-cup and six months after purchasing the machine. Recommended to see. that we use only clean water and a “Brita Intensa” filter. There is a small possibility that this message, when using tap water, could have appeared earlier.

Saeco Royal reports on Decalcify

How to clean the car:

First, it is recommended to remove the water filter

It is expensive, and you need to change it every 2000 cups, if you use, of course, clean water, and not the fresh water that pours out of the taps. Here in Lviv, the water is simply of a terrible quality, the deposit in the kettle, when using tap water, grows after a couple of boilings. Therefore, I personally think that using a filter is a must.

Next, it is recommended to pour half a cup (100 ml) of this product (Pufas Glutoclean descaling agent) directly into the water container:

This case is sold in Ukraine in Epicenter hypermarkets. This case costs 100 hryvnia ($12). Whether to use the branded, 8 times more expensive product from Saeco is a personal matter for everyone. I decided that Saeco was a little impudent with prices. Let's see whether I was right or wrong.

Next, it is recommended to fill the water container to the very top. In the coffee reception area, under the paranello, you need to put a saucepan of about 2.5 liters. If you don’t have one, you can use the smallest container and glass, which you alternate. The water draining cycle takes about 1 minute, in other words, it is better to do it next to the drain, or have an additional container. You can use this container:

Next, it is recommended to press the menu button and select (press the “down” button many times) Descalling mode

When Descalling mode is found,

Press the “Enter” button (upper right). In this case, Descaling is displayed on the monitor display.

Then you need to turn the “paranello” handle (bottom in the photo) to the last position counterclockwise, in other words, open it:

At the same time, the machine will begin to pour water. He pours out 50 ml here and there and takes a break for a minute. All this will be repeated until the water in the container runs out. This task takes from 45 minutes to an hour. I will unknowingly perform this function twice.

How did this happen, in other words, the water has run out, close the “paranello” tap and pour out everything that is in your container. Put the container back. Press ESC on your keyboard. This is the bottom right button. Select the “Signal Descal” menu item, enter it with the “Enter” button, change its value Up-Down. to “Yes”, and press ESC a couple of times to exit the menu. After this, the machine stops displaying the message about the need for cleaning. And it displays the regular menu.

After all this, it is recommended to perform the function of making cappuccino four times using clean water as “milk” and filling the water container to capacity. At the same time, the tube for the cappuccino maker and the cappuccino maker itself are cleaned.

Next, it is recommended to place the container and drain all the water using the boiling water production mode (top left button).

In other words, pour all the water into the container through the paranello. This will take a little time. And you may have to take a couple of breaks. Then insert the water filter. if you have about 2000 cups, then naturally replace it with a new one. Fill with water. That's it, the machine is operational.

Now on the frequency of service. It is recommended to perform this function every 500-600 cups. You can see how many cups are currently prepared in the menu; there is a special menu item “Total Caps”.

I would like to note that the maintenance management of the Saeco company itself is not prepared carefully enough, and it would be true, for such a large company as Philips, to slightly adjust its management for operation.

Before the descaling cycle

  • A complete descaling cycle takes approximately 30 minutes and consists of scrubbing and rinsing cycles.
  • Once you start the descaling process, you need to finish it.
  • Use Saeco/Philips CA7600 or CA6701 solution, never use vinegar to descale.

Getting Started

  • Drain the drip tray.
  • Prepare a container to catch water during the descaling process.
  • Remove the INTENZA+ water filter from the water tank (if equipped).
  • Remove the panarello / cappuccino maker / automatic cappuccino maker (if equipped).

DREGDRAWER FULL in a coffee machine - what is it? (translation)

This message means that you need to clean the processed coffee container without turning off the coffee machine.
If it’s empty, remove it, wait half a minute, and insert it back. The literal translation of the inscription DREGDRAWER FULL is a full drawer.

The container must be inserted back after 30 seconds. However, details should be clarified in the instructions; different models may differ in use. If after cleaning the inscription does not disappear, then you should contact an authorized service center.

The inscription DREGDRAWER FULL can be seen, for example, on Saeco machines. But it may happen that the container is empty, even after re-installation - the inscription does not disappear. The reason for this behavior can be very simple. Some models of coffee machines determine whether the waste coffee container is full or empty very simply - after a certain number of prepared cups of coffee, for example 30, the system will display the message DREGDRAWER FULL (the container is full). Therefore, if you clean it after 28 cups, then after two cups the inscription will still appear.

However, why does DREGDRAWER FULL remain when the container is reinstalled? The system is very well thought out. The cleaning process means taking it to the trash can, throwing out the contents, bringing it back. This takes time, a few seconds. If you just take it out and put it back in, there will be no result. You need to wait about 10 seconds, ideally - leave the machine alone for a minute without the container, then insert it back.

Slide the milk jug dispenser to the right. 12) Place the bowl back. 13) Click OK. The coffee machine will start the rinsing cycle. 14) If the DESCALING IN PROGRESS icon appears on the screen, the rinsing cycle is complete. Basic information. If the screen displays an empty water tank symbol instead of the DESCAL CLEANING PROGRESS icon, the water tank has not been filled to the MAX level. Fill the reservoir to the MAX line and perform another flush cycle. Repeat steps 10–13 until the DESCALING IN PROGRESS icon appears. You may need to perform this function a couple of times until the ready sign appears on the screen. 15) Press the OK button to finish descaling. 16) The machine will heat up and perform an automatic rinse cycle.

Background of the problem

Hard city water is the biggest problem for household appliances, not just coffee makers. Salts are deposited quickly, since the device works with hot liquid. In addition, mucus can accumulate on parts if the liquid is not sufficiently cleaned before entering the water supply.

If the coffee machine says ventilate, it means air has entered the system in the following cases:

  • the filter is clogged;
  • the water supply hose is pinched;
  • The silicone hoses are dry, cracked and suck air during operation.

The machine stops working, but at the same time it heats up and sounds are heard from inside.

Video: All errors of the Saeco coffee machine

All three problems can be directly related to the liquid that is poured into the container. The filter has its own resource - about 2000 cups, provided that high-quality water is filled. If you use it uncleaned, the filter fails much earlier: 1.5 - 2 months.

A piece of scale or sand that has come off and become stuck in the system can jam the hose.

In this case, the machine will display a double message.

Due to contamination or the use of unprofessional cleaning products, silicone hoses can deteriorate faster. If a crack appears in them, the pump will take in air, and there will be a puddle of water under the device. If there are two pumps, then each one will have to be checked separately. Damaged tubes must be replaced, and then use special solutions or tablets designed for this type of coffee machine.

How to fix it yourself

When the ventilate message appears on the Saeco, you need to press the water supply button and pour about a glass into a container until the message disappears. Sometimes it appears during intensive work, when coffee and cappuccino are being prepared at the same time. The watering process takes time, so it is better to eliminate the cause radically and take the unit to a service center.

There they will check the entire system separately - perhaps the seals or gaskets are leaking somewhere - they will have to be changed, otherwise purchased water will be poured out in vain. You may need to clean the magnetic valve or boiler, replace the pump or flow meters. If, during a home inspection of a coffee machine, heating boilers are found in which there is no water, then in such a situation you need to take the machine to a service center.

Troubleshooting Saeco coffee machines in Kyiv

If this article did not help you, we will be happy to provide you with a free consultation over the phone. Always keep your coffee machine clean and have it serviced on time, and then the equipment will please you for a long time.

Never leave your coffee machine in a room where the temperature may drop below zero, as this can lead to serious and costly damage. If you still do not have the opportunity to remove the coffee machine from such a room, then leave it on. Perhaps the heat from the boiler will be enough to prevent the tubes and hoses inside the coffee machine from freezing. Or completely drain all water from the system.
