Coffee Jacobs Monarch

All kinds of Arabica are used to produce blends. And although manufacturers position the product as an example of a refined drink, all Jacobs coffee brands would be more accurately classified as mid-level products.

Reviews of Jacobs Monarch instant coffee are mostly positive - according to consumers, it has a softened silky taste with a signature sourness. A similar miracle is Jacobs Monarch Velvet. For lovers of a bright, rich taste, Jacobs Monarch Intense is intended.

Consumers should not have any prejudice towards Jacobs Monarch disposable sticks at all. This type of coffee comes in handy when guests suddenly arrive or when you are at work and need a snack but don’t have time. The compact bag does not take up much space and can always be literally at hand.

Ground coffee is made not only from Arabica, but also from Robusta. The first gives the drink richness by filling it with essential oils, and the second gives strength and a bit of piquant bitterness.

Jacobs Monarch Decaffeinated, is available with reduced caffeine content, and therefore can be consumed more than once a day. This raw material is subjected to special steam treatment, due to which caffeine is released, although the properties are not lost.

Jacobs coffee in Tassimo Avito capsules is prepared in coffee machines. The set includes a certain number of capsules, each of which contains medium-roasted Arabica coffee.

This option is very convenient to use, but many gourmets speak of this method of obtaining a high-quality drink with coolness, sometimes calling it a scam of gullible customers. People say that Jacobs capsules are no different from ordinary 2-in-1 instant coffee, but the cost is more than high.

Coffee Jacobs

Excellent combination of ground coffee and instant

Jacobs Milicano coffee refers to products that combine the characteristics of instant and ultrafine ground coffee. At the same time, the soluble component in it is 85%. During processing, the grains are fried lightly, medium, due to which the product fully retains the aroma, which is best revealed during the brewing process.

The taste properties of the product are preserved due to suitable types of packaging - these are bags with special plastic fasteners, glass jars and flat sachets. Most of all it is appreciated for the efficiency of preparation. Among other varieties, this one should be noted for the fact that everyone will find something in it - strength, a subtle delicate aroma, and a blissful aftertaste.

Production history

Today, the Jacobs Coffee brand belongs to a large global corporation, whose headquarters are located in the Netherlands. But it all began in the German town of Bremen, where a young and enterprising graduate of a trade school, John Jacobs, opened a small store offering delicious biscuits, chocolate, tea and coffee. This happened in 1895. The young businessman was successfully engaged in business and soon his store rented premises in the very center of the city.

In 1907, Jacobs opened a small factory for roasting coffee beans and offered his customers delivery of the aromatic product up to 4 times a day. In the photo below you can see one of the company's first packaging, which shows a full bag of coffee beans. In those days, the company was called Jacobs Coffee.

First packaging design

The First World War made adjustments to the development of the coffee business, so Jacobs had to do a completely different business - organize hospital meals, and later move to the securities market. In 1923, John had to bring his business back to life for the first time. Proper organization of production, skillful advertising and adherence to traditions made Jacobs & Co a national company within 5 years. Soon the city's first large roaster was opened, employing 300 people. The company's turnover grew, as did its popularity.

Jacobs had to get the company back on its feet for the second time after World War II, together with his son. Soon the brand became popular throughout Germany and began promoting products to other countries.

Today it is a manufacturer of coffee beans, 3 in 1, ground and instant products, coffee capsules and the so-called millicano - ground and instant.

The success criteria of this brand include:

  • maintaining consistently high quality of all products;
  • achieving an optimal price-quality ratio, in the direction of reducing the first and increasing the second component;
  • skillful advertising activities;
  • wide range and variety of packaging.

The brand appeared on the domestic market more than 2 decades ago and still holds a leading position. The brand's products belong to the middle price category. The beginning of the conquest of the Russian market is considered to be 1994, when supplies of soluble Jacobs began to the country. In Russia, the company Kraft Foods produces coffee under the brand name of a global brand.

About the variety of assortment

Video: Review of Jacobs Espresso Coffee prepared with a Bosch Coffee Machine

Jacobs coffee, produced by the Kraft Foods company, is positioned by its manufacturers as a product aimed at true connoisseurs of a great drink, but such ambitious statements do not entirely correspond to reality. All brands of instant, bean and ground coffee from the Jacobs brand would be more accurately described as products of average quality. Considering its affordable price range and accessibility for all segments of the population, it can be considered an excellent product for everyday use, but this does not give grounds to advertise it as a product of the highest quality.

To be fair, it should be said that the combination of affordable cost, taste and quality makes coffee from the Jacobs brand a product worthy of buyers’ attention. Marketers of our time confidently classify it as a mass-market product. The constant work of the company’s specialists to expand the range of coffee produced contributes to the even greater popularity of this product.

  • The instant freeze-dried product line includes: decaffeinated coffee (containing a small dose of caffeine and having lost much of its aroma and taste), “green” Jacobs (a classic drink, so called because of the color of its packaging) and an enhanced flavor product (Intense). ), which is a new product of the brand.
  • Natural ground coffee Jacobs Monarch is presented in two types of products, differing in different packaging options. Classic Jacobs Monarch coffee comes in a traditional green colored bag. The packaging containing Jacobs Monarch Espresso coffee is colored black. The grinding of both varieties is so fine that it makes it possible to brew it not only in the traditional way, but also directly in a coffee cup (this is what many lovers of this drink do).
  • Jacobs Monarch Millicano coffee is a unique product, each instant granule of which contains ultra-fine ground coffee, giving the drink the smell and taste of natural beans and the convenience of instant coffee.
  • Jacobs 3 in 1 sticks containing a mix product are available in three types: with a strong taste (Intense), with a milder taste (Latte) and a classic strength (Original).
  • In addition to the varieties just listed, the Jacobs brand has one variety each of ground and bean coffee. Jacobs coffee beans are a blend of Congolese Robusta and Arabica, with varying degrees of roasting. The only drawback of both products, which have a balanced taste, is the inability to retain their inherent aroma for a long time after opening the sealed packaging. To prevent the valuable product from losing its quality within a few days, it should be immediately poured out of it into a tightly closed container.

How did Jacobs come about?

Jacobs is a popular brand that has its own history. Once upon a time, in the late 1980s, in Germany, a German opened a shop selling sweets, coffee and chocolate. Most of all, visitors liked coffee beans, which were in great demand.

After some time, the merchant opened a large store on the main street of the German city of Bremen. So, in the nineties, the first plant for roasting grains was founded. They named it after a German seller.

Within seven years, the Jacobs trademark became the official coffee brand. The manufacturer, taking care of its customers, delivered the products to their homes.

Then, during the war years, Jacobs' business almost collapsed. But, he found the strength to restore coffee production, and by the fiftieth year the Jacobs company became the leader in coffee sales in Germany.

In the sixties, the founder's trading company passed into the hands of his grandson. The large volume of products makes Jacobs a popular drink in other countries.

Thus, the Jacobs brand is in demand and becomes popular all over the world. Every year new types of Jacobs are released onto the coffee market, taking care of every customer.
