Coffee and chocolate recipes - 8 delicious recipes with photos and videos (2022)

Those with a sweet tooth prefer to combine aromatic coffee and chocolate. After all, such a mix not only invigorates you in the morning, but is also a wonderful dessert. The tradition of drinking chocolate-flavored coffee dates back to the 18th century, when such a delicacy was called “bicherin.” Pablo Picasso himself created his masterpieces while drinking this treat. The modern interpretation of the drink is the basis of many cocktails, sweet treats and dessert dishes. It is loved by chocolate connoisseurs and coffee gourmets.

The recipe for coffee with chocolate is known throughout the world; it is used in popular coffee shops and restaurants. Let's consider several options for preparing a sweet treat.

Caramel-chocolate coffee

You can serve caramel-chocolate coffee on its own, or you can season it with a piece of dark chocolate or a glass of delicious liqueur.

This drink is simply divine, the silky smooth texture is perfect. The taste combines caramel and chocolate shades.

For preparation, it is better to use natural ground coffee, but special coffee mixtures are also perfect, which will help diversify the taste of the drink.

Grocery list:

  • 2 tsp. natural ground coffee
  • 160 g water
  • 2 tsp. boiled condensed milk
  • 2 tsp. condensed cream
  • 4-5 cubes of milk chocolate.

Cooking instructions:

  1. Take a food processor with a metal attachment, pour 70 grams of water into it, add condensed cream and boiled condensed milk. The most important thing is to use only high-quality ingredients. Boiled condensed milk should be quite thick, with a bright caramel taste.
  2. Turn on the food processor and combine the ingredients together for 30 seconds.
  3. Pour the mixture into a ladle or small saucepan for the stove. Throw in the broken milk chocolate cubes. Place the caramel-chocolate liquid on low heat, cook for 2-3 minutes and stir constantly.

  4. Brew strong coffee in 90 grams of water, cook in a Turk or in a regular saucepan, over low heat. We wait until the foam begins to grow and turn off the heat. Let the coffee steep for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Using a fine strainer, strain the coffee. And, of course, we do this process 2-3 times. Because we need pure coffee, without extra grains.
  6. Now pour the coffee into the caramel liquid and cook over low heat for 3 minutes. But don’t forget to constantly stir the drink with a whisk or spoon.
  7. Carefully pour the hot caramel-chocolate coffee into a cup and serve immediately.

Coffee with chocolate and kumquat

This recipe can truly be considered a dessert coffee option. The combination of chocolate and the citrus taste of kumquat will not leave any coffee lover indifferent.

Grocery list:

  • 2 tsp. natural ground coffee
  • 1 PC. kumquat
  • 1 tbsp. l. chocolate syrup

Cooking method:

  1. First of all, pour the estimated amount of coffee into the Turk.
  2. Then add chopped kumquats. Pour in water and put the coffee on the fire. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
  3. Pour chocolate syrup into the cups in which coffee with kumquat and chocolate will be served.
  4. Then strain the finished drink and stir.

Recipe 1. With syrup

You will need: 30 ml espresso, 15 g chocolate syrup, 125 ml milk.

  1. Pour syrup into the bottom of the glass.
  2. Prepare the espresso, add it to the mug, and mix everything carefully.
  3. Whip the milk into foam using a cappuccino maker or other methods, pour it into a mug, and spread the foam.
  4. You can decorate the top with chocolate chips.

This recipe does not require adherence to the technology for preparing a layered coffee drink; all components are mixed.

Note: if the foam is too light when preparing espresso, then the grind is too coarse; if it is very dark, then the grind is too fine or too much. Ideally, the prepared drink should have a reddish tint with veins.

Coffee with chocolate, cocoa and cinnamon

Natural coffee, cocoa and chocolate are a wonderful combination of excellent tastes, which at first glance seem incompatible in one drink. However, this is not at all true. And if the word chocolate makes you tremble, then this recipe is especially for you. This drink is very delicate with a pleasant aroma and chocolate taste, and milk will significantly reduce the amount of caffeine in the drink. You can also diversify the taste of the drink by adding all kinds of spices, such as cloves, cardamom, nutmeg and other spices.

Grocery list:

  • 1 tsp instant coffee
  • 15 g dark chocolate
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1/5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 100 g milk
  • sugar

Cooking method:

  1. Place coffee, cocoa powder, sugar and ground cinnamon into a cup.
  2. Grate the chocolate on a fine grater or cut into small pieces. Then add it to the rest of the products
  3. Pour hot drinking water over everything and stir well until the chocolate is completely dissolved.
  4. Let the drink brew and soak in all the spices and aromas.
  5. Warm the milk to room temperature. To do this, you can use the microwave, or you can simply heat it in a mug on the stove. Do what is most convenient for you.
  6. Then combine milk and coffee in one glass in which you will serve the drink and mix it well. Here it is advisable to use filtration, which can be either a sieve or gauze.
  7. That's it, the drink is ready and you can start tasting.

Frappe with chocolate chips

The Greek version of making coffee with chocolate syrup is also known throughout the world. But its preparation does not require any special skills; you can prepare it at home:

  • cold espresso – 50 ml;
  • crushed ice - 4 cubes;
  • cream 10% - 20 ml;
  • chocolate chips;
  • chocolate syrup – 15 ml;
  • whipped cream - balloon;
  • Gingerbread Cookie.

Cooking method:

  1. Pour cream into cold espresso, add ice and pour into tall glasses.
  2. Add syrup to each serving.
  3. Before serving, pour balloon cream, then decorate them with a little chocolate syrup, crumbs and ginger cookies, previously ground into fine chips.

This option can be called a dessert; it is quite high in calories. But at the same time, the taste is unique; real sweet tooths will appreciate your creativity.

Three-layer coffee with chocolate and cream

Grocery list:

  • 2 tsp instant coffee
  • 50 g dark chocolate
  • 10 g vanillin
  • cream in aerosol
  • chocolate topping

Cooking method:

  1. Place a broken chocolate bar in the bottom of a coffee mug. Do not chop very finely, the pieces should be medium in size. Pour instant coffee on top.
  2. Mix it with chocolate. The combination of dark chocolate and coffee will give the drink a slight bitterness.
  3. Pour hot water into the cup, but not boiling water. The water should be approximately 80 degrees.
  4. Let the drink steep for a few minutes; the chocolate should melt a little and sink to the bottom. This way we get two bottom layers.

  5. If you prefer white chocolate, you can also use it to make three-layer coffee with chocolate, vanilla and cream. Place a large amount of cream on top of the coffee.
  6. They not only serve as a wonderful decoration for the drink, but also complement the taste with sweetness and a pleasant aroma. At the end of cooking, add vanillin.
  7. To decorate coffee with cream, chocolate and vanilla, we use chocolate topping.
  8. Squeeze it onto the cream in long, thin strips. It turns out very beautiful and tasty. If you like chocolate, then the topping can be additionally added to the second layer. As a result, we get an unusual three-layer coffee drink that will certainly surprise your loved ones.

Types of chocolate for coffee

To emphasize the exquisite bitterness of espresso, it is recommended to choose a sweet with a high cocoa content (more than 70%). Coffee with dark chocolate will turn out delicious if you brew it with freshly ground beans.

Options:

  • cocoa syrup;
  • cocoa powder;
  • white, milk or dark chocolate;

Each bar contains a large amount of carbohydrates, minerals and enzymes. It turns out that drinking espresso with the addition of this sweetness is not only tasty, but also healthy.

When brewed correctly, you can enjoy the ceremony. Chocolate for coffee can be anything, the main thing is that it does not contain flavorings or food additives. This will ruin the taste of the cocktail.

The most common option is to use dairy. Dissolving it in hot espresso will give a creamy aftertaste. In addition, it perfectly softens the bitterness of Robusta or the sourness of Arabica.

Coffee with cherries and chocolate

This version of dessert coffee with cherries and chocolate will definitely appeal to lovers of chocolate coffee and is perfect for a sweet table.

Grocery list:

  • 2 tsp. natural ground coffee
  • 3 pcs. cherries
  • 1 tbsp. l. chocolate syrup

Cooking method:

  1. We put the washed and pitted cherries into the Turk. Coffee with this berry turns out to be very original, and if this subtle taste is further emphasized with spices, it will turn out simply delicious!
  2. Then add the calculated amount of coffee. Pour in water and put on fire. Bring to a boil, but do not boil, but remove from heat and let stand for a minute.
  3. Meanwhile, pour chocolate syrup into cups.
  4. And then we strain the coffee. Mix chocolate coffee with cherries and serve.

Coffee with dark chocolate “Natalie”

Try this coffee option. You will definitely like it.

Grocery list:

  • 1 tsp. instant coffee
  • dark chocolate slice
  • a little egg yolk

Cooking method:

  1. Grate a piece of chocolate on a fine grater to a measured portion of instant coffee. Chocolate gives coffee an extraordinary deep aroma and rich taste.
  2. Then pour the chocolate and coffee into a cup.
  3. Next, add a little egg yolk and mix as thoroughly as possible, literally rubbing the yolk into the coffee.
  4. Add water, stirring constantly.
  5. That's basically it. Coffee "Natalie" is ready.

Mayan delicacy

The recipe, which came to us from the distant past, was of a ritual nature among the Mayan and Aztec tribes. But it is to them that we owe the emergence of modern chocolate. To create a drink according to an ancient recipe, you need to prepare:

  • hot espresso – 50 ml;
  • chocolate – ½ bar;
  • salt and pepper - 1 pinch each.

Home cooking method:

  1. Add salt and pepper to the hot espresso, still in the pot, and bring to a boil again.
  2. Pour the drink into cups, add 1 tsp. grated dark chocolate into each glass, cover with a saucer and let stand for 2 minutes.
  3. Your natural coffee drink is ready! This cooking method is unique if you want to surprise your guests and loved ones.

Coffee with chocolate and raspberries

Appreciate the delicate taste of raspberry, which is intertwined with chocolate and buried in coffee.

Grocery list:

  • 2 tsp. natural ground coffee
  • 1 tbsp. raspberries
  • 1 tbsp. l. chocolate syrup

Cooking method:

  1. Let's start cooking by pouring the required amount of freshly ground coffee into the pot.
  2. Then add fresh or frozen raspberries. Let's add water and put the Turk on the fire. After boiling, immediately remove from heat.
  3. Pour chocolate syrup into cups.

Strain the finished raspberry coffee with chocolate into cups, mix and serve.

Coffee with chocolate, honey and cardamom

Coffee and chocolate are a bittersweet delicious pairing. You can enjoy your morning aromatic coffee with a small piece of chocolate. Or you can brew coffee in a Turk with honey, cardamom and chocolate. The aroma of the drink will drive you crazy!

We also recommend trying coffee with caramel.

Grocery list:

  • 2 tsp. natural ground coffee
  • 1/2 tsp. honey
  • several boxes of cardamom
  • milk chocolate

Cooking method:

  1. We will brew coffee in a Turk (ceramic or brass).
  2. Grate a small chocolate bar on a very fine grater.
  3. We put ground coffee in the Turk, calculating: one heaped teaspoon per cup.
  4. Open a few cardamom boxes and pour the seeds into the pot (if you have ground cardamom, put the powder on the tip of a knife).
  5. Pour cold water over the coffee and place the pot on very low heat. The colder the water is poured, the slower the coffee flavor will be extracted, thereby making the drink richer. We wait for the foam to rise twice and remove the coffee pot from the heat.
  6. Quickly pour the coffee into cups. Since it was prepared without adding sugar, now is the time to sweeten it and add another flavorful note. You need to literally put half a teaspoon of honey on each cup of coffee, this will be a minimal amount of sweetness, but when heated, the honey will give off a little of its smell.
  7. At the very end of serving, scoop up finely grated chocolate with a teaspoon (take as much as you like) and pour it carefully onto the coffee. Try to sprinkle the chocolate so that it does not fall to the bottom, but is distributed on the surface of the aromatic coffee. That's it, coffee with honey and chocolate is ready.

We hope that you liked the recipes for coffee with chocolate and will definitely use them.
