A detailed review of 7 lines of the famous Dallmeier coffee

Brand history

The first mention of the Dallmeier trading house dates back to 1700. At that time, the main activity was the sale of delicacies. The company developed successfully and reached certain heights. They received the status of supplier to the ruling elite of Germany, and supplied the palace.

Things began to get worse after the crisis in 1931. At that time, in order to keep the business afloat, it was decided to change the direction of activity. And the then owners began selling coffee.

Nowadays, the Dallmayr brand sells tea and coffee, cheeses, and delicacies (see products containing caffeine). There is a direction for the sale of coffee machines and vending machines. In their homeland, Germany, they have their own restaurant.

History of the Dallmeier brand from Germany

The history of the Dallmeier brand begins in 1700. The business consisted of supplying delicacies for the Munich rich, and later for European kings, nobles and princes.

Elite coffee, one of the recognizable brands in Germany

In 1933, the company opened a small department for the production of coffee, which it supplied to various hotels, restaurants and coffee shops. These products were not available in stores, but 10 years later production became the leading industry in the family business.

The war years were quite difficult for the company; it could not produce products officially, so it did it underground. In 1953, the enterprise was restored again and regained its status as the largest gourmet food house. In the 1960s, Dallmeier opened his coffee factory in Munich, thanks to which the company became famous for the excellent quality of its products throughout Bavaria. Today, Dallmayr is one of the best coffee brands in Germany.

Production and raw materials

To make its products, the company purchases green coffee beans. The geography of supplies is quite extensive:

  • Colombia;
  • Brazil;
  • Papua New Guinea (see birthplace of coffee);
  • Ethiopia

Interesting fact. When choosing suppliers, business owners focus on small, family-owned businesses. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the brand itself has existed for several centuries as a family business.

The company's assets include its own roasting shops - the preparation and processing of raw materials takes place there.

Elite varieties

In the Dallmeier product range, there are three varieties of coffee that are especially appreciated by consumers. They are made from coffee beans collected on African and South American plantations. All varieties are marked UTZ. This means that part of the profits goes towards improving the environmental conditions where the coffee beans grow.

  • Kilimanjaro. A coffee drink made from beans grown at the foot of Kilimanjaro. They have unique taste qualities. You have a chance to enjoy amazing taste and aroma.

  • Neiva. Coffee marked BIO and made from premium Arabica beans from Latin American plantations. Pronounced sourness, nutty taste of the drink.

  • Granverde. The best beans grown in Latin America end up in the hands of Dallmeier roasters. This variety produces a light coffee drink with a nutty flavor and pleasant sourness.

Selected varieties

The best and rare varieties of coffee beans are used to prepare a line of selection varieties. This product is quite rare and difficult to find for sale. This is understandable - the taste is incomparable.

Reviews

We have collected consumer opinions for you.

Very aromatic coffee. I'm happy with everything.

Alice, designer.

Another attempt to find delicious coffee led me to a small coffee shop. Where the barista advised me to try a drink brewed from Espresso Monaco. I was pleasantly surprised - I really liked the coffee. Bright aroma and pleasant sourness. Although before, even a hint of acid would make me feel terrible. But here, on the contrary, the taste of the drink has become even better. I bought a package for myself to take home. I hope my search is over.

Olga, manager.

Friends brought me a package of Dallmayr Prodomo. They were on holiday in Germany. Having read on the packaging that it contains 100% Arabica coffee, I decided not to delay and immediately brew myself a cup. The taste is amazing. This is a godsend for those who love soft coffee.

Dallmeier coffee beans

It is known that the author and creator of the brand worked hard to create a blend with exceptional taste, worthy of the attention of true gourmets. The result of his work was premium coffee beans of varying degrees of roasting, produced in vacuum packaging, which helps preserve the rich aroma. The classic grain “Dallmeier” is supplemented with the following varieties:

  • Prodomo.
  • Crema d'Oro.
  • Espresso d'Oro.
  • Ethiopia.

During preparation, as connoisseurs of the drink have noticed, coffee acquires a rich aroma and delicate foam. This variety is used in the preparation of Shumli and Cafe Crema.

The advantages of Dallmeier grain, according to users, are the presence of the aroma of dark chocolate in the drink, its extraordinary taste, lack of bitterness, and moderate tonic effect. The disadvantage is the high cost of the variety.
