What is the name of coffee with ice cream?
As with other drinks that are popular in many countries, there is some confusion with the names. That is, it can be called differently.
- Affogato is the most famous name, an Italian dessert that is popular in both Europe and America. It is a ball of ice cream lying on top or “drowned” in a shot of espresso. Sweet and thick, this dessert is usually eaten with a spoon, since even if the ice melts, it will create a thick, sweet foam, and there will be a lot of it. It's better to enjoy the mixture of tastes.
- Glace is an Austrian version, and in Russian this cocktail can also be called glace or glasse, we haven’t decided yet, any spelling is acceptable. This is closer to a drink than a dessert. But they prepare it in different ways, serving both chilled and quite hot, although more often they are cooled. Sometimes alcohol or beaten yolk is added.
- Eiskaffee – Eiskaffee, a German cocktail option. In this case, condensed milk is also used, ice cream is placed at the bottom of the glass, then a coffee-milk mixture, and a cap of whipped creamy foam on top.

Iced coffee with white chocolate, ice cream and Baileys liqueur
Compound:
- 2 eggs;
- 2 egg yolks;
- 6 tbsp. l. powdered sugar;
- 300 g white chocolate;
- 600 ml milk;
- 300 ml fresh cream;
- Baileys liqueur;

Preparation:
- To prepare this recipe, we need to beat the eggs, yolks and sugar with a mixer into a fluffy foam.
- Next, in a steam bath, melt white chocolate with 3 tbsp. l. milk.
- The remaining milk must be brought to a boil and, stirring quickly, add the egg mixture.
- Transfer the mixture to a steam bath and cook until thickened.
- As soon as the milk-egg mixture looks like thick sour cream, add white chocolate and mix.
- Remove the ingredients from the steam bath, cover with parchment paper and let cool for 10-15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, beat the cream until smooth and fluffy at medium speed and add to the cooled mixture.
- Place all ingredients in the freezer for 1-2 hours. To avoid going this long way, the listed ingredients can be replaced with creamy ice cream.
- We brew strong coffee for 4 servings according to any recipe. It is best to use natural coffee varieties, for example Arabica, since an instant coffee drink will not impart the desired taste to the finished ice cream.
- Let the brewed coffee cool for a while.
- Meanwhile, prepare wide glass glasses.
- When the strong coffee has cooled sufficiently, pour it into glasses. Place a scoop of ice cream on top and pour liqueur over it.
- Generously sprinkle the finished iced coffee with powdered sugar and enjoy the taste of the wonderful drink.
Choice of flavors
Of course, this addition is placed without a waffle cup or cone, and better yet, without glaze (it is usually made from very cheap chocolate, and will create an oily film with an artificial taste). Brew the coffee base the way you want - in a coffee machine, in a Turk or geyser, in a filter, or even just steam it in a cup. It is better to get rid of the grounds, as you will want to drink the sweet foam to the bottom, and the coffee sediment is not good for your health, and it is simply not pleasant. If you want a very sweet cocktail, dissolve the sugar in the still hot liquid. Pour into a cup and top with ice-cold dessert. Enjoy!
Do not stir the ingredients in the cup. And it’s better not to let the ice cream completely melt, it will turn into a greasy warm foam. Although, you can try, some people like it that way.
Recipe for coffee with chocolate ice cream
The chocolate taste goes well with coffee, so you can safely add this treat to your espresso or Americano.
