Egoist coffee beans and ground - range and characteristics

Today we offer a wide selection of premium coffee products from various brands from manufacturers in different countries. German and Italian companies are leaders in terms of coffee quality. Production at these enterprises is characterized by high requirements and standards for the final product. Not long ago, a new coffee brand Egoiste appeared, presenting a whole line of different types of coffee. What makes it stand out and what reviews can you hear about it?

Raw materials and production

The most expensive and rare varieties of coffee beans are used for preparation. They are hand-selected and supply orders are carried out by small farms located in Africa, Indonesia and America. They make deliveries without the participation of intermediaries by direct agreement. The manufacturer's raw materials are elite Arabica varieties and glacial alpine water.

Coffee is made from high quality Arabica beans

The manufacturing technology uses the innovative In-Fi method. The idea is that powdered ground coffee is placed in a crystal (or shell) of instant coffee. Thanks to this, the inside of the “capsule” is not so exposed to external influences. In this way, the manufacturer preserves all the properties of the natural product, its taste, aroma, and protects it from oxidation. This technology also extends the life of the drink: it can be stored much longer without harming the quality.

Egoist coffee assortment

The product line is quite diverse. The company produces the following types of coffee:

  • soluble;
  • grain;
  • ground.

The jars in which Egoist is packaged look expensive, so they can be used as a good present. The gift set is suitable to please relatives, friends or business partners.

Instant coffee of the Egoist brand has gained great popularity. Products in beans and ground powder are losing ground a little, but this is understandable. When in the morning there is no time for lengthy manipulations with the Turk, Egoiste comes to the rescue - coffee that prepares quite quickly. But this results in a drink with an amazing aroma and unique taste, and not water colored brown, as often happens when a product of poor quality is used. Egoist coffee is produced using a unique technology, as a result of which ground coffee is produced into instant coffee.

Egoist Special

Egoiste Special coffee is interesting because each granule contains ground Arabica coffee (at least 20%). The final product has a rich taste and classic aroma of strong espresso, which is why it has won the sympathy of a large number of consumers.

Egoist Very Special

This type is made from high-quality Kenny Arabica beans. The ground coffee shell contains coffee bean powder. The product is distinguished by light citrus notes, sourness and a fruity aftertaste.

Egoist Platinum

Egoiste Platinum – freeze-dried coffee, made from a unique blend of Kenyan and Colombian Arabica beans. Those who love a strong, brutal taste will like it. Instant coffee Egoiste Platinum will surprise you with an aftertaste with notes of flowering tropical trees.

Egoist Extra Original

Contains ground Arabica beans (at least 30%). For production, coffee beans grown in environmentally friendly regions are used. The drink has a rich taste, delicate foam and amazing aroma of brewed espresso.

Egoist Noir

The Noir series is made from coffee beans grown in the highlands and plains of Kenya. The unique combination of bright, multifaceted and rich taste of beans collected from different growing areas makes the drink unique. The taste contains citrus and vanilla notes.

Egoist Espresso

Limited edition product produced at a plant in Germany. Manufacturers use elite Arabica varieties that are deeply roasted. The traditional coffee aroma fades a little into the background, but the result is a strong, rich taste. It is for these qualities that most people love espresso. The taste has a slight bitterness, notes of roasted hazelnuts and the sweetness of exotic fruits are felt.

Top notes

The aroma reveals the most delicate lavender inflorescences with an admixture of neroli. With light introductory chords they envelop their owner, creating around him an airy haze of mountain freshness and coolness. Gradually, jasmine and rosemary shades begin to be heard, which have a bewitching effect, transporting you to an atmosphere of fairy tales and magic.

The top notes of Chanel's Platinum Egoist leave a heartfelt response and form the first impression of the fragrance. Distinguished by their smoothness and regularity, they very delicately present the perfume composition, constructing the basis for its subsequent development.

Spring jasmine attracts attention with its tartness and sweetness, gradually moving into the very heart of the perfume, allowing middle notes to come into play.

Invention of instant coffee

The history of this drink began at the beginning of the 20th century in America. In fact, the idea of creating instant coffee belongs to the Japanese-American scientist Satori Kato, who invented the method for producing this product.

But practically it was George Constant Washington, an American entrepreneur and inventor who lived for some time in Guatemala and was engaged in agriculture, who invented the technology for producing instant coffee on an industrial scale. Upon returning to America in 1909, Washington founded his own business and launched Red E Coffee, the first commercially produced instant coffee. Washington's company subsequently became the main supplier of coffee to the American Army during and after World War I. But despite the success of the business, the quality and unpleasant taste of early instant coffee were noted.

More extensive research into creating instant coffee as we know it today began in the 1930s in Brazil, which was (and remains to this day) the world's largest producer and importer of coffee. The problem was that for several years Brazil had been faced with an overproduction of green coffee. After drying and initial processing, millions of bags of coffee beans remained unclaimed, and it was very difficult to store them for a long time. Therefore, the Brazilian government decided to turn to the Swiss leadership with a request to help solve the problem of surplus coffee crops.

Max Morgenthaler, a chemical technologist at Nestlé, was tasked with creating a way to preserve and process coffee beans. After four years of scientific research and practical testing, Nestle decided to stop the experiment and closed the project. But Morgenthaler did not give up, continuing to work on creating a “coffee cube” technology that would withstand long-term storage and turn into a drink after adding hot water, while maintaining the properties of the coffee beans.

In his free time after work, Morgenthaler, purchasing coffee with his own funds, continued to create instant coffee. Two years later, in 1936, Morgenthaler was finally able to capture the aroma of coffee, which had previously been lost during the processing of beans, and transfer it to the final product.

As a result, in 1938, in industrial conditions, soluble coffee powder was first produced, called “Nescafé”, and which subsequently became incredibly popular throughout the world.

History of the Japanese brand of good coffee Bushido and countries of origin

Bushido in Japanese means - Samurai Code of Honor The brand has not only a rich original taste, but also an interesting history. Most consumers, when they see a jar with hieroglyphs, remain confident that the product is made in Japan. Actually this is not true.

The name "Bushido" is translated from Japanese as "Samurai Code of Honor". The brand and idea belong to Japan. In the 1990s, the enterprising Japanese created a flavor that could be prepared quickly, without cooking, but which had the smell of a natural strong drink. The product was liked by consumers.

The partner of the Japanese brand is a company from Switzerland

In the 2000s, manufacturers decided to look for partners in Europe so that the product could enter the global market. As a result of these searches, Switzerland became the main partner of the Bushido brand. Today, it is in this country that the central production of this product has been established. The Japanese considered that the climatic conditions of Switzerland and the approach to production were ideal conditions for producing ideal coffee.

The highlight of the brand is the attractive and unusual packaging design, which was worked on by German specialists. It was they who developed a unique design with hieroglyphs of the land of the rising sun. Thanks to this, most consumers are confident that they are drinking a real Japanese drink.

Today the customer in Russia is. According to her order, the product is manufactured not only in Switzerland, but also in Italy.

Reviews

Margarita: Excellent freeze-dried specialty coffee. The only thing I'm not happy with is the price - it's very expensive for 100 grams. The lid is also not very convenient, although it makes the jar look very unusual. This variety can be compared to the famous Bushido, it seems to me. Even if you put a larger portion into a cup than you should, the taste will not be bitter or sour.

Olga: I purchased Egoist in Espresso beans. Doesn't justify its price, too much bitterness. Not bad just with milk.

Valeria: Extra Original is my drink. The taste is unique, unlike any other I have ever tried. There is natural sweetness, bitterness, and such a wonderful aroma...

Matvey: Not bad coffee, German quality and price are justified, it brews quickly, like instant coffee, and the taste is very similar to ground coffee, even sediment remains in the cup. I like.

Rules for preparing the drink

The manufacturer recommends brewing the drink in a Turk. It is advisable to take the right tool with a wide bottom and a narrow neck in order to get a dense and thick foam.

To make coffee you will need:

  1. 2 tsp coffee beans.
  2. 100 ml liquid.
  3. Sugar and cream.

It is recommended to brew the drink in a Turk.

Pour powder, sugar into the Turk, pour fresh water. Place the container on the fire.

When the liquid begins to rise, turn off the heat, but turn it back on after the foam has reduced. This is done 3 times so that the product fully reveals its taste.

Milk coffee

This coffee has a pleasant and soft aftertaste thanks to mixing the bitter drink with rich milk.

The following will be useful for him:

  1. 1 tsp finely ground coffee.
  2. 100 ml milk.

First, the milk is heated on the stove, and then poured into a Turk.

It will take no more than 10 minutes to cook.

Range

All types of products are premium and therefore expensive. Although reviews from domestic buyers do not note the properties of good Arabica beans in the grain and ground product. The answer to the question of which coffee is better is always instant coffee.

Washed grains are used: immediately after harvesting, the pulp is removed, and the grains, with a layer of protein-rich, water-insoluble substance, undergo a fermentation process and are washed in large quantities of water. The variety is characterized by a soft taste and a rich palette of aroma with fruity notes.

What to buy?

As in choosing any product, the emphasis is on the preferences of the buyer himself. If the requirements for a drink are: the presence of a pleasant aroma, a mild aftertaste, as well as easy compatibility with other ingredients, a reasonable solution would be to purchase various types of “Egoist Espresso” or “Egoist Noir Coffee Beans”. For connoisseurs of a tart and invigorating taste that tones the body and spirit, “Noir” coffee or the “Velvet”, “Ho” group are better suited.

Another feature is that this brand has coffee varieties that do not require long brewing or long preparation. These include: “Extra Original”, “Velvet”, “Egoist Espresso” “Privat”, or the most common “Special”.

How to choose quality coffee

High-quality instant coffee can taste virtually no different from grain coffee, especially when properly prepared.

However, there are several characteristics that you should pay attention to in order to purchase good freeze-dried coffee:

There are three types of instant coffee: consisting only of Arabica, a mixture of Arabica and Robusta, or Robusta beans. The first option is the most expensive, and the last is the cheapest. However, the quality of the product depends not only on what percentage of the grains were used, but also where they were collected. For those who love strong, aromatic coffee, the best option is a drink with 100% Arabica or a robusta mixture, but strongly roasted; emulsified, powdered coffee costs less than granulated coffee. For coffee gourmets, granulated coffee without dust and powder in packaging is suitable. Granulated coffee is made by soaking beans in a special solution. High-quality granules must have a porous surface; the percentage of caffeine content is not always indicated on the packaging - this is due to the fact that such a requirement was not presented to the manufacturer at the legislative level. However, for the drink to be truly tasty, a caffeine content of at least 4 percent is recommended; packaging is of utmost importance. A glass jar is the most popular option, but soft zip-lock bags are also used. According to the rules, a high quality product is always packaged in glass jars

When choosing coffee, you should pay attention to the condition of the can - there should be no visible chips or cracks on it.

By paying attention to several characteristics: type of packaging, type of grinding of beans, percentage of caffeine, you can choose a high-quality, natural drink. In addition, you should pay attention to the price - it is not necessary to choose the most expensive coffee, but the price - 100 rubles per glass jar should alert the buyer
