Coffee with egg for weight loss

If you want to lose weight, add espresso and egg to your diet. According to nutritionists, you should eat one egg and drink a cup of an invigorating drink for breakfast. The best option would be if you drink an egg drink in the morning.

As you know, raw eggs can cause salmonellosis, but the high temperature of hot espresso makes them absolutely safe for human health. A Canadian nutritionist for one basketball team has long been using a drink with eggs in the players’ diet as a source of fatty acids.

This coffee has become very popular in Hungary, Vietnam and other countries. The drink is becoming in demand among people trying to lose weight. An even greater weight loss effect can be achieved by adding coconut oil to the egg drink. Energy coffee is very filling, so a person does not feel hungry for a long time.

One Japanese brand sells a fat-burning coffee product called Healthya. Its effect depends on the long roasting of coffee beans; they are roasted twice as long as usual. The experiment, which involved one hundred people, confirmed that people lost up to two kilograms of weight in three weeks. They all drank a cup of this drink once a day.

The benefits of egg protein shakes

A protein egg shake has a number of advantages compared to other drinks:

  • Replaces a full breakfast. By supplementing it with bread or adding oatmeal, the body will receive energy for the whole day.
  • The cocktail contains appetite suppressants.
  • The abundance of protein promotes satiety. Protein takes a long time to digest, so you don’t feel hungry. With its help, you can give up daytime snacks.
  • A protein shake for gaining muscle mass from eggs allows you to regain strength after a workout.
  • The drink is prepared quickly, which saves time.
  • A protein shake made from yolkless eggs has a low calorie content, which is why it is used for weight loss and getting rid of excess fat.

Refreshing coffee from Sumatra

This sweet Indonesian coffee is usually consumed on a hot day. It will appeal to both adults and children. If you want to give the drink originality and interesting notes, you can add a little quality liqueur. Alcohol must be added directly to the coffee before mixing it with the rest of this unusual Asian drink.

Three-layer coffee will appeal to lovers of unusual tastes. Many people who have tried the drink in Sumatra call it a 2-in-one coffee - a drink and a dessert.

Required ingredients:

  • ½ cup of strong coffee;
  • egg yolk;
  • 1 tbsp. l. condensed milk;
  • ¼ tsp. vanilla extract;
  • 1.5 tsp. liquid honey.

Step-by-step preparation of coffee in Indonesian style:

  1. Combine honey, egg yolk and vanilla extract in a blender glass. Add ¼ cup boiling water. Slowly beat the mixture until smooth.
  2. Pour the foam into the bottom of a tall, clear glass. Pour condensed milk into it. Pour the prepared coffee into the center in a thin stream. Thus, you will get a three-layer drink: there will be “custard” on the bottom, traditional coffee in the middle, and foam on top.

Hot coffee

Alcohol is added to hot soft drinks not to give them “degrees,” but to enhance the taste and aroma. Molecules of aromatic substances combine with volatile esters and quickly spread through the air. We hear a pronounced smell not only of the alcoholic product, but also of the other components of the hot drink. If alcohol is dosed correctly, then due to evaporation the “degrees” disappear, but the greatly enhanced and enriched taste and aroma of the main ingredients remains.

With egg and rum

Traditionally, this drink is prepared using fresh espresso, which requires 100 ml.

You can replace it with regular black coffee brewed in a Turk. Next we will need:

  • 100 ml of boiled, but not very hot milk;
  • 1 chicken egg yolk;
  • 1 tsp. Sahara;
  • 50 ml warmed rum.

Grind the yolk together with sugar until white foam or beat with a mixer. Add espresso, followed by warm milk and rum.

Mix well and pour into portions.

Egg

Beat the yolk with honey and brandy. Place the aromatic mixture in a cup, add cream and hot coffee. The drink is ready. It can be prepared without alcohol, then it will turn out less aromatic, but no less tasty.

Liege style

This cold coffee dessert has its own history and is well known all over the world. Ironically, in the city of Liege itself it is called “Viennese”. Products taken for cooking:

  • well-chilled black coffee – 50 ml;
  • egg yolk – 2 pcs.;
  • chilled liquid cream (fat content not less than 30%) – 150 ml;
  • sugar – 2 tbsp. l. with a small slide;
  • water – 100 ml.

To make the dessert tender and appetizing, you must follow these steps:

  1. Let's brew our regular black coffee. Instant coffee lovers are also allowed this option. The drink needs to be strained, allowed to cool and hidden in the refrigerator close to the freezer. We extract egg yolks from 2 chicken eggs.
  2. Pour all the sugar into a saucepan and add water. Cook thick syrup over low heat. To do this, constantly stir the liquid so that the sugar does not stick. Let's bring it to a honey consistency. The finished syrup stretches behind the spoon and forms threads.
  3. Grind the yolks into a homogeneous mass, mix well with the syrup. It should not be too hot so that the yolk mass does not curdle. Next, beat everything with a mixer (not a blender!) until white.
  4. Add half the cream to the mixer bowl with the yolk mixture and continue beating for another minute. Add our cold coffee drink there and continue whisking for another minute. Add the rest of the cream and beat everything together thoroughly.
  5. Place the whipped coffee-cream mixture in the freezer. You will need to be careful here, as it should only thicken, but not freeze.
  6. When we decide that the dessert has thickened enough, we take it out and beat it again with a mixer for about a minute.
  7. Now we take out beautiful vases or wide glasses and arrange the treats into portions. Finishing note: sprinkle crushed coffee beans or chocolate chips on top.

It's better to drink original coffee with friends.

Coffee with eggs. Vietnamese coffee recipe and variations on the theme.

It’s starting to get colder, isn’t it time for us to add calories to regular coffee? Well, new colors of taste can be very generous with emotions.

As a child, I often drank coffee with yolk; we called it eggnog. The yolk was whipped into a stiff foam with sugar and placed in a cup of hot, fragrant coffee that yearned to be touched. Here it was two in one: both a drink and a dessert in one cup.

Yesterday I was browsing the websites of Vietnamese handicrafts and came across a coffee page. I didn’t know that coffee with eggs, or rather yolk, is very common in Vietnam. For everything to work out as accurately as possible, it is better to purchase Vietnamese coffee. At the moment, there is no difficulty in where to buy coffee from Vietnam, on the website of the Sun of Vietnam store, like in Greece, there is everything (C): a sweet-pepper mixture of Robusta with Arabica, and pure vanilla-caramel Arabica, and robusta with a truffle note in the aftertaste.

Actually the recipe, Vietnamese coffee with egg:

Brew a small cup of coffee. Beat the yolk with condensed milk to a shaggy foamy consistency, pour in a tablespoon of already brewed coffee and beat well again. Add to coffee. Bon appetit!

I googled the topic a little, there is room to run and something to be taken aback by. I was also very impressed by the Norwegian coffee, considering a huge company, as I understand it:

  • Ground coffee - 80 g
  • Egg yolk - 1 piece
  • Cool water - 350 ml
  • Boiling water - 2.5 l

Mix coffee with eggs and 100 ml of cool water to form a thick paste. Add this mixture to boiling water, mix thoroughly and let simmer for 2-3 minutes. Remove the pan from the stove and add the remaining cool water. Let stand for a few minutes, strain through a fine sieve.

I was amazed by this super-short recipe:

We break an egg into a cup and pour coffee, while the yolk moves upward, which is why this recipe is sometimes called “float” or “drowned”. Honestly, I have no desire to try it.

It’s better to work a little magic on coffee with yolk and cream:

In a tall glass, stir 2 tablespoons of warm cream or warm milk, 1 yolk and sugar to taste. Pour in the prepared coffee without stopping whisking.

Coffee for quick recovery after heavy physical activity:

Brew 200 ml of coffee, add 5 tablespoons of sweet powder and cool. Beat 250 ml of sour milk and 2 yolks into a good foam. Mix with coffee. It is also called “Elixir”. I can’t even imagine what it tastes like, but if there is a reason, you can take a risk, health is more valuable.

Quick recipe

Have you tried egg coffee at least once? And don't know how this coffee drink is prepared? Then you are very lucky, because today we will tell you about the recipe for making this incredibly tasty drink!

Ingredients:

  • water (boiling water) - 2 tbsp.
  • coffee (ground) - a quarter tbsp.
  • egg - 1/2 pcs.
  • water (cold) - a quarter tbsp.
  • water (cold) - an eighth of a tbsp.

So, let's get cooking:

  1. First you need to gently scramble the egg, and then separate part of the scrambled egg mass.
  2. Add ground coffee to half the mixture and stir.
  3. Add ¼ cup of water here and stir again.
  4. Boil water in a kettle.
  5. Place the container with the mixture on the fire, pour in a little boiling water, stir and boil.
  6. As soon as the drink boils, turn the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Then turn off the heat, pour in a little cool water, the grounds should sink to the bottom.
  8. Let the drink sit for a minute and the egg coffee is ready, pour it carefully into cups and invite everyone to the table! Boiled coffee has a pleasant aftertaste.

Cooking process

  1. Place a few teaspoons of black coffee in a coffee filter. Distribute it evenly so that there are no lumps.
  2. Boil water, fill half a glass cup to heat it, and then pour the boiling water into the filter.
  3. Let the coffee drip into the cup for a few minutes.
  4. Break 2 chicken eggs, divide into whites and yolks. Set the whites aside. In our case, only the yolk is used.
  5. Now add a little condensed milk to the yolks and whisk this mixture until it turns bright yellow. It is better not to use a mixer, because in this case the yolk may become too liquid.
  6. Pour the egg and condensed milk mixture into the cup, making sure to create a foamy head on the top of the coffee. In Vietnam, a special device is used for this, which does not allow the mixture of yolks and milk to flow into the cup too quickly. But in the absence of one, you can simply do it with a spoon.

So, your cup of egg coffee is ready! But personally, I would advise not to make filtered coffee, but to prepare it Turkish. The effect will be no less wonderful! At least it works with Viennese coffee.

Reviews

The original, unique coffee with egg will appeal to gourmets and lovers of this invigorating drink. Numerous positive reviews testify to its good taste.

Elena Kovach Like a coffee lover to a coffee lover: a recipe for those who drink coffee with milk. I prefer espresso, and, if possible, espresso-ristretto. And, like Elena, I can add the yolk mashed into a thick foam on top. They also taught me to drink coffee with a protein cap and a protein-strawberry cap. In general, there are countless options! But I can confirm that coffee with yolk is delicious! And, yes - where is so much coffee: 50 grams? That's a lot.

Elena K, Dniprovske, Ukraine An interesting cafe where you can leave a note right on the wall. You can sit right at the table, by the open window, and look out onto the street. But the best thing here is the wonderful coffee with eggs. The most delicious of all the places where I drank the same coffee in Vietnam.

Guest I took one fresh chicken egg. I liked the result. Egg whites beaten with vanilla sugar make a wonderful combination with coffee. Somewhere vaguely reminiscent of whipped cream. What didn't work was whisking the yolk. I beat the egg whites in a blender, the foam turned out airy, just superb. And the yolk is small, you can’t beat it in a blender. So I used a fork. It didn't work. I made coffee with an espresso double shot. When I laid out the yolk, it failed for me, precisely because it did not whip. And the squirrel stayed on the surface in a thick, large cap.

Not all possible combinations of coffee and eggs are listed here. He is a prominent representative of fusion cuisine, where you can endlessly play with ingredients and flavors, achieving culinary sophistication. It will undoubtedly be loved by everyone who is open to new gastronomic experiences.

History of the origin of the drink

According to one version, the first coffee with yolk was prepared by the chef of a Vietnamese restaurant in Hanoi, Nguyen Van Giang, in 1946. He decided to develop a national version of cappuccino. I liked the unusual novelty so much that after a few years I managed to open my own cafe.

According to another version, the drink was first prepared by the owner of a small cafe in the same city, since after the war he simply did not have the opportunity to serve coffee with whole milk. There were difficulties with supplies, and there was nowhere to store them - the electricity was constantly cut off. Therefore, the idea of replacing it with beaten egg yolks and sugar came up.

Name of coffee with egg

To try an original dessert in Vietnam or Scandinavian countries, just ask for Egg Coffee or Giang. But sometimes on the menu it is advertised as Vietnamese or Scandinavian coffee. Other names are also indicated: Hanoi tiramisu, creme brulee or just hot ice cream, wren.

Benefits and harms

Beneficial effects of caffeinated drinks on the body:

  • increases physical and mental performance;
  • reduces the likelihood of colon and uterine cancer;
  • strengthens blood vessels and prevents the formation of cholesterol plaques on the walls;
  • has an antioxidant effect;
  • reduces insulin sensitivity.

Coffee in a glass mug

Thanks to the egg, the drink reduces the risk of developing gastritis and peptic ulcers. A film forms on the gastric mucosa that protects against the aggressive effects of acids contained in coffee. In addition, thanks to the filler, coffee energizes, replenishes vitamin and mineral organic reserves, helps build muscle tissue and increases endurance.

But abuse should be avoided. The diuretic effect can provoke renal colic, calcium leaching can cause the development of osteoporosis, and the egg supplement can increase the level of bad cholesterol.

In addition, unprocessed eggs may contain pathogens that cause salmonellosis. But if you cook according to all the rules, adding the yolk to a hot liquid, you don’t have to worry about infection.
